- Open the official Karnataka RERA website (rera.karnataka.gov.in).
- Search registered projects by project name, promoter name or registration number.
- Confirm the promoter name, project location and proposed completion date.
- Download the registered documents: layout, specifications, approvals and the quarterly progress updates.
- Match the area, price and possession date in your agreement with the registered details.

Approvals and documents to check
- Land title and conversion documents.
- Sanctioned building plan from the local planning authority.
- Environmental and fire clearances as applicable.
- Commencement certificate before construction starts.

- A draft sale agreement you can show to your lawyer.
